The Minto RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance after a shooting incident in Chipman, N.B.
On March 29, 2025, at approximately 7 p.m., a man called police to report that he was shot at while travelling on Highway 10 in Chipman, New Brunswick. No one was injured during the event.
The RCMP is now searching for a grey Ford or Chevrolet pickup truck in relation to this incident. Police hope that information from the public may help provide additional information to help the investigation. The RCMP is investigating this is an isolated incident and it did not meet the criteria for an Alert Ready.
"Any detail, no matter how small, could help further the investigation," says Cpl. Matt Traer with the Minto detachment. "If you have any information regarding this incident, please come forward."
Anyone who has video footage, witnessed the shooting, or has information that could help further the investigation is asked to call the Minto RCMP at 506-327-1820. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.
Police remain in the area as part of the ongoing investigation.
