The Richibucto RCMP is seeking the public's help following the discovery of a significant quantity of drugs in West Branch, N.B.

On March 2, 2025, members of the Richibucto RCMP were conducting a search for an unrelated investigation in a wooded area near West Branch Road, in West Branch. While conducting the search, they discovered 40 000 pills, weighing 18 kilograms, of what is believed to be methamphetamine. It is estimated that the total value of the drug seized would be up to $200 000.

Police are now looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity near West Branch Road area in West Branch in recent months.

The public plays an important role in helping to reduce, prevent and solve crime, including the trafficking of illegal drugs. Anyone with information about, or who suspects, illegal drug activity in their neighbourhood is asked to contact their local police. The investigation is ongoing.
