Four individuals arrested following home invasion

Update: April 11, 2025: On April 10, 2025, 22-year-old Miles Johnson Jr, one of the individuals involved with the home invasion in Oak Bay, appeared in Saint John Provincial Court and was charged with robbery, break and enter, and uttering threats. He was released from custody with an ankle monitoring device and a house curfew while awaiting his next court appearance.

A 22-year-old man, 62-year-old man, 29-year-old man, and a 19-year-old man have all been arrested following a home invasion in Oak Bay, N.B. 

On April 8, 2025, at approximately 8:15 p.m., members of the St. Stephen RCMP detachment responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence in Oak Bay. Five individuals had forcefully gained entry to the residence while the homeowners were present. One individual was armed with a weapon and assaulted one of the homeowners, who suffered minor injuries. The suspects fled the scene with undisclosed medications prior to police arrival. 

A short time later, two RCMP officers were returning from a community meeting when they came across the fleeing suspects. The officers exited their vehicle and immediately initiated an arrest. A 22-year-old man, 62-year-old man, 29-year-old man, and a 19-year-old man, all from Charlotte County, were arrested. Police are still searching for a fifth individual in connection with the incident. 

The 62-year-old man has since been released from custody on an appearance notice and will appear in court at a later date. The other three men remain in custody. 

Police believe that this was a targeted incident, and there is no risk to public safety.
