The Codiac Regional RCMP is seeking the public’s help following a shooting incident in Moncton, N.B.
On April 30, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of a shooting on Vail Street, in Moncton. When police arrived, they found a 45-year-old man who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to hospital with what are believed to be serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Through the investigation, police learned that a red SUV, possibly a Toyota Rav 4, was seen pulling up to the residence minutes prior to the incident. A passenger, who was wearing a face covering at the time, exited the vehicle and returned a short time later. The vehicle fled the scene before police arrived. At this time, no suspect has been identified in connection with the incident, but police are following up on a number of leads to help further the investigation.
Anyone who lives in the area and has surveillance footage from the time of the incident, or who has information that could help further the investigation, is asked to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.
