Update, May 20, 2025: The individual involved in the assault with a weapon incident in Sackville has since been identified. The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance.

 

The Sackville RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance as part of an ongoing investigation into an assault with a weapon.

On May 18, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the Sackville RCMP responded to a report of an individual who had assaulted another person inside a residence on Albion Street in Sackville. The suspect fled the scene before the police arrived.

If you see someone matching this description, do not approach. Call 911 or your local police detachment immediately.

Police believe this was an isolated incident and therefore, it did not meet the criteria for an Alert Ready message.

Anyone who has information about the suspect or the incident is asked to contact the New Brunswick RCMP at 888-506-RCMP (7267). The investigation is ongoing.
