40-year-old man dies following an ATV crash

A 40-year-old man from Douglas, N.B., has died following an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash in Scott Siding, N.B.

On July 28, 2025, at approximately 12:55 a.m., members of the Western Valley Region RCMP responded to a report of an ATV crash off Scott Siding Road in Scott Siding.  

The collision is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of his ATV. The driver, a 40-year-old man, was ejected and died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The passenger, a 12-year-old youth, did not suffer any injuries.

Members of the Canterbury Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and the New Brunswick Coroner's office also attended the scene. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
