60-year-old man dies following single-vehicle collision

A 60-year-old man from Scoudouc, N.B., has died following a single-vehicle collision in Bertrand, N.B.

On August 2, 2025, at approximately 10:01 p.m., members of the Caraquet RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle motorcycle collision on Route 11 in Bertrand, N.B.

The collision is believed to have occurred when the driver of the motorcycle collided with a moose. The driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle was transported to hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Members of the Bertrand Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick attended the scene. A member of the New Brunswick Coroner's office is assisting with the ongoing investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
