Four individuals have been arrested following several dangerous incidents involving stolen vehicles in the Moncton region.
On July 29, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP and the Caledonia detachment received to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a business in Salisbury, N.B. Police lost visual on the vehicle; however, it was later located in the Moncton area, along with a second vehicle believed to be involved.
Shortly after, one of the vehicles was disabled on Route 126. The driver, a 20-year-old man from Moncton and the passenger, a 16-year-old girl, from Riverside-Albert, were arrested.
The second vehicle continued fleeing but was intercepted in Moncton. The driver, a 17-year-old boy from Moncton, and the passenger, a 17-year-old girl from Moncton, were arrested.
The RCMP’s Air Services and Police Dog Services were called to assist with the incidents.
The 16-year-old girl from Riverside-Albert was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
On July 30, 2025, 20-year-old Nathaniel Beatty-Gratto from Moncton appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, and failure to comply with a probation order. He was remanded into custody and will return to court on August 5, 2025.
The 17-year-old boy from Moncton also appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, possession of weapons contrary to order, and failure to comply with conditions of a previous release order. He was remanded into custody and will return to court on August 6, 2025.
The 17-year-old girl from Moncton also appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, theft of a vehicle, resisting a peace officer, and failure to comply with conditions of previous release orders. She was remanded into custody and will return to court on August 1, 2025.
Police are now asking for information from the public to help further the investigation.
Anyone who lives, or happened to be in the area, has security camera or dash camera footage from the time of the incident, or who may have witnessed the assault is asked to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400. The investigation is ongoing.
