40-year-old woman dies following two-vehicle collision

A 40-year-old woman from Upper Cape, N.B., has died following a two-vehicle collision in Baie-Verte, N.B.

On September 26, 2025, at approximately 22:59 p.m., members of the Sackville RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a transport truck on Route 16 near Baie-Verte, N.B.

The collision is believed to have occurred when the vehicle, which was travelling west, crossed the centre line and collided with a transport truck travelling in the east bound lane. 

The driver of the vehicle, a 40-year-old woman from Upper Cape, died at the scene as a result of her injuries. The driver of the transport truck was not injured.

Members of the Port Elgin and Pointe Bute Fire Departments, Ambulance New Brunswick, and a member of the Coroner’s Office also attended the scene. A New Brunswick RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
