55-year-old man dies following single-vehicle collision involving pedestrian

A 55-year-old man from Moncton, N.B., has died following a single-vehicle collision with a pedestrian in the community.

On September 4, 2025, at approximately 5:50 a.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Coverdale Road in Riverview. The pedestrian was transported to hospital with serious injuries and later died as a result of his injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was not injured.

The collision is believed to have occurred when the pedestrian was walking across the street and was struck by the driver of a vehicle who did not see him.

Members of the Riverview Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick attended the scene. A member of the New Brunswick Coroner's office and an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
