A 39-year-old woman from Moncton, N.B., has been charged following a firearm incident in the Moncton area.
On October 5, 2025, at approximately 1:32 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of a shot fired inside a residence on Dominion Street, in Moncton.
When police arrived at the scene, they confirmed that a firearm had been discharged inside the residence. A 39-year-old woman was arrested at the scene without incident, and the firearm was seized. No one was injured.
On October 6, 2025, Aidan Campbell appeared in Moncton Provincial court and was charged with:
-Reckless discharge of a firearm
-Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm
She was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on October 8, 2025.
At the time, police believed the incident to have been isolated, and that there was no danger to the general public. The incident did not meet the criteria for an Alert Ready message, however, the New Brunswick RCMP is always prepared to issue an Alert Ready message should there be a need.
The investigation is ongoing.
