A 46-year-old man from Salt Springs, N.B., has died following a two-vehicle collision on Route 890 in Newtown, N.B.
On October 8, 2025, at approximately 2:45 p.m., members of the Sussex RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Route 890 in Newtown, N.B.
The collision is believed to have occurred when the driver of a car, travelling eastbound, lost control and collided with a mini van travelling westbound.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 46-year-old man from Salt Springs, was transported to hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the mini van was also transferred to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Members of the Millstream Fire Department, Sussex Fire Department, and Ambulance New Brunswick attended the scene. A New Brunswick RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
