78-year-old woman dies following a two-vehicle collision

A 78-year-old woman from Petit-Rocher, N.B., has died following a two-vehicle collision in Janeville, N.B.

On November 25, 2025, at approximately 10:25 a.m., members of the Chaleur Region RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 11 and Cape Road in Janeville. 

The collision is believed to have occurred when the driver of a transport truck collided with a car.

A 78-year-old woman, who was the sole occupant of the car, was transported to hospital, where she later died as a result of her injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the transport truck sustained what were believed to be minor injuries.

Members of the Janeville Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, New Brunswick Coroner’s office, Justice and Public Safety and an RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist attended the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
