A 66-year-old man from Val D’Espoir, Quebec has died following a two-vehicle collision on Route 11 in Bouctouche, N.B.
On January 22, 2026, at approximately 11:20 a.m., members of the Richibucto RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Route 11 in Bouctouche, N.B.
The collision is believed to have occurred when the driver of a pickup truck, travelling southbound, crossed the centre line, and collided with a semi-tractor truck.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 66-year-old man, was transported to the hospital where he later died. The passenger, a 35-year-old woman, was transported to the hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi-tractor truck, a 55-year-old man, was transported to the hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Members of the Bouctouche Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick attended the scene. An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
