Update – March 13, 2026: The Codiac Regional RCMP has since identified a vehicle of interest in connection with this investigation and are releasing a photo of the vehicle in hopes that someone may recognize it. “Police are continuing to pursue all investigative avenues and are seeking help from the public to further the investigation,” says Cpl. Luc Picard of the Codiac Regional RCMP. “If you were involved in this incident, if you witnessed the incident, or if you have information that could help investigators, please contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.” Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by visiting www.crimestoppers.ca .

The Codiac Regional RCMP Specialized Policing Services is investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Moncton, N.B. 

On March 3, 2026, at approximately 8:35 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery in front of a business at the intersection of St. George Street and Weldon Street in Moncton. A woman was robbed by a male suspect who deployed pepper spray which incapacitated the victim.  The suspect was able to flee the scene with the victim’s purse in a light-coloured vehicle driven by an accomplice. Following the attack, the woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 

Only a general physical description of the suspect was obtained at this time, although more information is currently being gathered. Police are asking anyone who may live in the area and has surveillance footage, or who may have been in the area at the time of the incident and has dash cam footage, to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP
