A 29-year-old man from Three Rivers, N.B., has been charged after he fled from police near Havelock, N.B.
On March 6, 2026, at approximately 1:38 a.m., members of the Sussex RCMP detachment were conducting rural patrols near Havelock when they attempted to stop a vehicle for a Motor Vehicle Act offence. The vehicle fled from police and was driving erratically down a gravel road. A short time later, police located the vehicle in a ditch. The driver had fled the scene on foot while the passenger, a 38-year-old woman, was arrested at the scene.
The New Brunswick RCMP’s Police Dog Services (PDS) attended the scene and began a track in search of the driver. The driver, a 29-year-old man, was subsequently located by PDS, and was arrested without further incident. He was also found to have active warrants of arrest in connection with incidents in Hampton and the Moncton region.
The 38-year-old woman was later released from custody.
On March 6, Jordan-Lee Lockrem appeared in Saint John Provincial Court and was charged with:
- Dangerous driving
- Flight from police
- Failing to remain at the scene of an accident
He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on March 12.
