The Richibucto RCMP is investigating a theft of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and a firearms incident in Rogersville, N.B.

On May 31, 2026, at approximately 4:22 p.m., members of the Richibucto RCMP detachment received a report that an ATV that had previously been stolen had been located on a property in Rogersville. A short time later, police received a second report from the property owners that there were individuals armed with weapons that were causing significant damage to vehicles on the property, as well as the home.

When police arrived at the scene, they located and arrested three individuals in connection with the incident. A fourth individual, who was believed to be armed with a firearm, had fled the scene prior to police arrival. At the time, the incident did not meet the criteria for an Alert Ready message, however, the New Brunswick RCMP is always prepared to issue an Alert Ready message should there be a need.

A vehicle was also seized for further investigation.

RCMP Police Dog Services attended the scene to search for the fourth individual, but so far, attempts to locate the individual have been unsuccessful. Police are continuing to search, and at this point, do not believe there to be a risk to the general public.

Anyone with information that may help locate the individual, or help further the investigation, is asked to contact the Richibucto RCMP at 506-523-4611. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.
