Prolific offender arrested in relation to Conception Bay North break and enters

RCMP East District General Investigation Section (GIS) and Harbour Grace RCMP arrested 34-year-old Justin King on Thursday in relation to multiple break and enters and a variety of other Criminal Code charges. The investigation and subsequent arrest were part of an ongoing offender management initiative in the RCMP’s Trinity-Conception District. 

As part of an ongoing investigation, RCMP East GIS and Harbour Grace RCMP arrested Justin King, 34, at a residence in Western Bay on Thursday, February 5. As a repeat offender, King was under investigation as part of a district-wide offender management initiative, and was arrestable as police determined he was in violation of his court-imposed release conditions. 

On Friday, February 6, East District GIS and Harbour Grace RCMP executed a search warrant authorized under the Criminal Code at a residence in Western Bay and recovered stolen property connected with multiple break, enters and thefts in the Conception Bay North area. 

As a result of the investigation and search warrant, King now faces charges in relation to multiple break and enters between December 10, 2025, and February 1, 2026, and additional charges related to his failure to comply with court-ordered conditions. He has been charged with: 

• Break and enter – 3 counts
• Possession of property obtained by crime – 2 counts
• Theft over $5,000 
• Driving while prohibited
• Failure to comply with a Release Order – 3 counts
• Failure to comply with a Probation Order – 3 counts 
• Failure to comply with an Emergency Protection Order 

King was remanded into custody after his arrest and appeared in provincial court today (February 9). He remains in custody, with his next appearance scheduled for February 13. 

RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador continues to investigate all reported break and enters in the Conception Bay North area and anticipates additional arrests and charges in relation to these matters.

The investigation into King and his subsequent arrest were the result of an ongoing, coordinated offender management initiative led by RCMP East District GIS with support from Trinity-Conception District RCMP. This initiative aims to prolific offenders in the district, ensure compliance with court-ordered conditions and execute outstanding arrest warrants. Additionally, police are investigating new criminal activity involving repeat offenders, including property crimes, and persons, weapons and drug offences. 

Since October 2025, this Trinity-Conception District initiative has arrested nine offenders for violating their court-imposed conditions, and a total of 82 charges have been laid. Thirty-seven (37) of those charges are directly related to failure to comply with orders imposed by the court, and the remaining 45 are related to other Criminal Code offences. 

RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador is continuing its offender management initiatives in communities across the province, with additional positive results anticipated.
