Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft in the Wilburn Bay area, and is asking anyone with information to contact the detachment.
On March 17, police received a report of a Honda generator stolen from an ice fishing shack in the Wilburn Bay area of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. It is believed that someone broken into the shack sometime between Saturday, March 14 and the morning of Tuesday, March 17.
While police have not received any official reports from other ice shack owners nearby, officers believe it possible that there may be other victims and encourage anglers in the area to check on their structures and supplies, and to report any damages or theft to Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP.
