UPDATED - Arrest warrant issued for Darrin Hobbs

UPDATE (March 19, 2026): Clarenville RCMP advises that Darrin Hobbs has been arrested.

Clarenville RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance locating 50-year-old Darrin Frederick Hobbs, who is the subject of an active arrest warrant and is currently evading police.

Hobbs is wanted in relation to multiple Criminal Code charges including:

• Assault causing bodily harm;
• Flight from police;
• Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle;
• Failure to comply with conditions of a release order – three counts.

Earlier today police issued a public advisory seeking help to locate a black 2014 Ford Mustang (licence plate information removed). Hobbs was the driver of this vehicle, which has since been located in the Charlottetown area and recovered by police.
