Trinity-Conception RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft from a Bay Roberts hardware store, and asking anyone with information to contact police. 

On March 27, 2026, police responded to a report of a theft from a hardware store on Conception Bay Highway in Bay Roberts. An individual was captured on video surveillance breaking glass, entering the store and removing a framed piece of National Hockey League memorabilia, before leaving the scene on a bicycle. 

The theft occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26.  

The suspect is seen on camera wearing a toque with a face covering, a grey sweater, blue jeans and brown boots.
