Harbour Grace RCMP arrested a 54-year-old man for violating his court-imposed conditions after stopping a vehicle outside a business early Monday morning in Carbonear.
At approximately 4:00 a.m. on March 30, 2026, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop of a passenger vehicle in the parking lot of a business on Columbus Drive in Carbonear. The passenger in that vehicle was identified as 54-year-old Brent Jackson, who was the subject of a court-imposed release order that required him to remain inside his residence during designated hours.
Jackson faces a Criminal Code charge of failure to comply with a release order. He appeared in Harbour Grace Provincial Court on Monday, March 30, 2026, and was remanded into custody. Jackson is expected to appear in court next today (Tuesday).
