Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP arrested a 61-year-old man on Tuesday morning after responding to a report of a break and enter at a vacant home.
Shortly after 7:00 a.m. on April 7, 2026, police received a call reporting a break and enter at a vacant home on Coronation Street in Grand Falls-Windsor. Police attended the scene and arrested the suspect, identified as William Tubrett, 61.
Tubrett has been charged with one count of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He was held in police custody and appeared in Grand Falls-Windsor Provincial Court on Tuesday. He was released by the courts on strict conditions and is expected to make his next appearance in court today (Wednesday).
The investigation is ongoing.
