Natuashish RCMP arrests man for uttering threats, weapons-related charge

A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged by Natuashish RCMP on Tuesday for possession of a weapon, uttering threats and multiple counts of failing to comply with court-ordered conditions.
At approximately 11:00 a.m. on April 7, 2026, police received a report of a man making threats against multiple people in Natuashish. The suspect was identified and a short time later, at approximately 11:40 a.m., officers received a report that the same man was causing a disturbance and making threats while brandishing a knife at a local store.
Natuashish RCMP located the man — Zachary Collins, 27 — and he was arrested without incident.
Collins was held in police custody overnight and is expected to appear in provincial court today to answer to charges of:
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose,
- Uttering threats against a person – two counts,
- Failure to comply with conditions of a release order,
- Failure to comply with a probation order – six counts,
The investigation is continuing.
