RCMP officers are actively investigating a shooting at a home in Grand Falls-Windsor Wednesday afternoon. The victim remains in hospital and has been airlifted to St. John’s for advanced medical care. Police believe that the incident was targeted, and that there is no risk to general public safety.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m. on April 8, Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP responded to reports of a shooting at a residence on Main Street in Grand Falls-Windsor. Once on scene, officers located a victim inside the residence with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. Police do not believe there is any risk to general public safety.

To protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation and the privacy of the victim, no additional details will be released at this time, however, updates may be provided as appropriate.
