Nain RCMP arrests man for breach of conditions after responding to disturbance

Nain RCMP arrested a 40-year-old man early Wednesday morning after responding to a disturbance at a local residence. 

Shortly before 3:30 a.m. on April 8, police were called to a home on Middle Path in Nain in response to altercation in progress. When officers arrived, they removed one man from home at the request of the residents. 

Police also learned that the man, 40-year-old Amos Suarak, was in violation of a curfew imposed by the courts in relation to a previous matter. He was arrested without incident and charged with one count of failure to comply with a release order. 

Suarak appeared in provincial court on April 9 and was remanded into custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 2026.
