UPDATE (May 9, 2026): Nain RCMP confirms that Paul Obed was arrested Friday night. Thanks to the public and the media for their assistance.

Nain RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance locating 43-year-old Paul Abia Obed, who is the subject of arrest warrants and is actively evading police.

Obed is wanted in relation to Criminal Code charges including:

• Sexual assault;
• Sexual interference,
• Failure to comply with a condition of an undertaking – failing to attend court.

A photo of Paul Obed is attached.

Anyone with information about her current location is asked to call Nain RCMP at 709-922-2862.
