Deer Lake RCMP seeks public’s assistance to locate stolen snowmobile and cargo trailer

Deer Lake RCMP is investigating the theft of a snowmobile and enclosed cargo trailer from the Hampden Junction area and asking anyone with information to contact police.

Just before 3:00 p.m. on May 18, Deer Lake RCMP received a report that an enclosed cargo trailer and a Ski Doo snowmobile were taken from a storage site in Hampden Junction. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between Wednesday, May 13 and Monday, May 18.

The missing trailer is described as a white enclosed cargo trailer, Newfoundland and Labrador licence plate TLL 941. The trailer’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is 5NHUTW429FT624391.

The stolen snowmobile is described as a red 2021 Ski Doo Expedition SE, Newfoundland and Labrador licence plate SME 561, VIN 2BPSAEMA3MV000194.

The investigation is continuing.
