RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador’s Major Crimes Unit (MCU) has charged 30-year-old David Faucher with first degree murder, in connection to the homicide of Franz Drosch in Happy Valley-Goose Bay back in August of 2023. RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance locating Faucher who is the subject of a Canada-wide arrest warrant and actively evading police.

Faucher, who originates from Sherbrooke Quebec, is wanted by the RCMP in Newfoundland and Labrador on a Criminal Code charge of first-degree murder.

Although Faucher is believed to be in the Sherbrooke region, investigators believe he has connections to the Trois-Riviere region of Montreal and Mexico.

Faucher is described as standing 5 foot 11 inches tall, weighs approximately 190 lbs and has brown eyes.

Faucher is believed to be operating a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, grey in colour, with Quebec licence plate FTV 8960 attached.
