Clarenville RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance locating the person or people responsible for vandalism and the theft of a large propane tank at a communications tower near Lethbridge earlier this month.

On June 16, a technician investigating a recent service outage contacted Clarenville RCMP to report that a 450lb propane tank had been stolen from a Lethbridge-area communications tower. In addition, a line to a second tank had been damaged.

It is believed that the vandalism and theft occurred sometime on June 5, 2026. Photos of the damaged tank are attached.

Clarenville RCMP is asking anyone with information about this incident, the location of the stolen tank or the person(s) responsible to contact them at 709-466-3211.
