Placentia-Whitbourne RCMP is investigating a theft at a local gas station on Friday afternoon, and asking the public for help identifying two suspects caught on surveillance camera. 

On August 28, around 12:15 p.m., a pickup truck stopped at the Ultramar gas station on the Trans-Canada Highway in Whitbourne, put fuel in the vehicle and left without paying. Witnesses reported the vehicle was headed eastbound on the highway. 

Police are looking to identify two suspects — one male and one female — captured by outdoor surveillance cameras, and the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck they were traveling in.
