Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP arrested a 38-year-old woman and 48-year-old man on Thursday after they were each found in violation of their court-imposed release conditions.

On September 3, Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP responded reports of two unwanted, intoxicated individuals inside a business in Badger. On arrival, officers identified the man and the woman and determined they were subject to court-imposed conditions that prohibited them from being in contact with one another.

Misty Burton, 38, and Bradley Blagdon, 48, were arrested for failing to comply with their release order conditions and held in custody overnight. They are both scheduled to appear in Grand Falls-Windsor Provincial Court today (September 4).

RCMP officers across the province regularly conduct checks to ensure compliance with court-imposed conditions. Many of these individuals are repeat offenders, known to police and in their communities, and ensuring they comply with their conditions helps reduce repeat crime and enhances public safety.

Continued monitoring and follow up checks also allows police to intervene quickly when conditions are breached, while also recognizing and supporting those who are complying.
