Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP responded to a break and enter in progress at a commercial business in the town overnight and arrested one suspect at the scene. Justin Mills, 35, was found in possession of break-in instruments, and police also executed his existing warrant of arrest.

At approximately 12:15 a.m. on September 17, Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a commercial property on Earle Street.

Officers arrived at the scene and arrested Justin Shawn Mills, 35, who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in relation to a separate, previous matter.

He now faces new additional charges under the Criminal Code including breaking and entering to commit an indictable offence, possessing break-in instruments and failing to comply with a Probation Order.

Mills was held in custody to appear in Grand Falls-Windsor Provincial Court on Thursday.

The second suspect remains outstanding at this time. The investigation is continuing and additional arrests and charges are possible.
