Clarenville RCMP looking to identify suspects in Shoal Harbour break and enter

Clarenville RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred during the early morning hours Wednesday at a convenience store in Shoal Harbour.

Just before 2:30 a.m. on September 23, police responded to an alarm at the Cormack Mini Mart on Main Road in Shoal Harbour. Officers arrived to find the glass of the front door had been smashed. Once inside the store, the suspects took a large amount of lotto tickets and a variety of other items.

Police believe that at least two suspects were involved in this crime and departed the store on foot towards Simmons Place. Both suspects were seen on video surveillance wearing all black clothing, black face masks and gloves.

An individual found in possession of stolen lotto tickets was later arrested by the Clarenville-Bonavista RCMP in the Clarenville area on Wednesday. The 38-year-old Clarenville woman now faces a Criminal Code charge of possessing property obtained by crime and is expected to appear in court in November 2026.

The investigation is continuing. Police are asking residents in the area of the convenience store to check available surveillance footage for the suspects, or any suspicious vehicles or activity during the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 23.
