RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is seeking information from the public after gun shots hit a home in Lower Sackville.
On October 15, at approximately 1 a.m., RCMP officers responded to a report of gun shots being heard in the area of Riverside Dr. Officers learned that witnesses had been walking on Riverside Dr. towards Candlewood Ln. when they heard what they believed to be gunshots. The officers patrolled the area, but found no evidence of a shooting scene or victims.
Later on October 15, officers received information from a different witness who had also heard what sounded like gun shots around 1 a.m.; the witness saw a black sedan speeding away from the 1500 block of Riverside Dr.
Officers canvased the area and located a home with bullet holes. The occupants of the home were not injured.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the RCMP/HRP Integrated General Investigation Section (GIS) with support from RCMP Forensic Identification Section.
