RCMP looking for information from the public after fatal shooting in North Preston

The RCMP/HRP Integrated Major Crime Unit is investigating a homicide in North Preston. 

On November 2, at approximately 4:58 p.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment and EHS responded to a report of shots fired near the intersection of Cain St. and Clarence St. in North Preston. 

Upon arrival, officers found 28-year-old Jayden Tynes suffering from gunshot wounds. Tynes was transported to hospital by EHS where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is being led by RCMP/HRP Integrated Major Crime Unit with support from the RCMP/HRP Integrated General Investigative Section, RCMP Forensic Identification Services and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
