Meteghan RCMP charges woman and seizes cocaine, weapons

The Meteghan RCMP Detachment has charged a woman for drug trafficking and weapons offences after executing search warrants in Church Point.
On December 2, Meteghan RCMP, assisted by the RCMP Emergency Response Team and the Southwest Nova Street Crime Enforcement Unit, executed search warrants at a property on Patrice Rd. and another on Oakridge Rd.
At the Patrice Rd. residence, officers safely arrested 47-year-old Amanda Althea Smith of Church Point.
During the searches, investigators seized a quantity of cocaine, a digital scale, four firearms, ammunition, stolen property, and other items.
Smith has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (five counts)
- Unsafe Storage of Firearm
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
She was released on conditions and is due to appear in Digby Provincial Court on January 26.
The investigation is ongoing.
