RCMP charge B.C. man for drug and weapons offences after search warrant in Halifax

The RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment (HRD) Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) has charged a British Columbia man with drug and weapons offences after a search warrant was executed in Halifax.
On December 12, at approximately 4:45 a.m., RCMP HRD SCEU – supported by the Halifax Regional Police Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit - arrested a man and executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of Brenton St. following a lengthy investigation.
At the home, officers seized a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone, hydromorphone, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), cash, jewelry and a switchblade knife.
Mustafa Abdul Al-Rikabi, 28, from Surrey, B.C., has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (five counts)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 (two counts)
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Al-Rikabi appeared in Halifax Provincial Court on December 15 where he was released on conditions. His next scheduled court appearance is January 14.
