RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment has arrested a man for impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash in Chaswood.
On April 28, at approximately 3:05 p.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash in the 12600 block of Hwy. 224. The officer learned that a truck had gone off the road and into the ditch.
Upon arrival, the officer located the truck in the ditch with a man seated in the driver’s seat.
The officer observed signs of impairment and obtained a roadside breath sample from the driver, which resulted in a fail.
The driver, a 45-year-old man from Chaswood, was arrested for impaired driving and transported to Enfield RCMP Detachment where he provided two breath samples registering 280 mg% and 270 mg%.
The man was released pending a future court appearance.
