RCMP arrest man for multiple thefts from various NSLC locations

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment has arrested a man believed to be responsible for multiple thefts from Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) locations.
On May 6, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a report from security staff at the NSLC on Forest Hills Pkwy. that a man responsible for multiple alcohol thefts had just been denied entry.
Upon arrival, an officer located the man in the parking lot and arrested him.
Wilfred Lataz Smith, 35, of Dartmouth, was transported to the Cole Harbour RCMP Detachment. Further investigation determined he was responsible for numerous thefts from NSLC locations throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality.
Smith is charged with:
- Theft Under $5000 (11 counts)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (11 counts)
- Breach of Probation (nine counts)
Smtih appeared in Dartmouth Provincial Court on May 7 and was released on conditions pending a future court appearance.
