Police continue to investigate the homicide of Tyrell Ramone Beals.
On May 8, 2024, at approximately 11:48 p.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment received a report that an individual had been shot near the 1100 block of Downey Rd. in North Preston. Upon arrival, officers located a 36-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite life-saving efforts, Tyrell Ramone Beals was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Homicide investigators with the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continue to investigate this case and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
“Two years later, this investigation remains active, and we’re urging anyone who may have information—no matter how small it may seem—to contact police,” says Sgt. Shawn Stanton, RCMP/HRP Integrated Major Crime Unit - Homicide. “Details from the public can be critical in advancing homicide investigations.”
