Police arrest woman wanted on outstanding warrants

The Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU) has arrested and charged a Thorburn woman who was wanted on outstanding warrants for drug trafficking.

On June 17, PCISCEU, with assistance from Pictou County District RCMP and RCMP Police Dog Services, executed a warrant at a residence on Marsh Rd.

At the home, Katelyn Rose Kirk, 35, was arrested. She was wanted on three outstanding warrants and has now been charged with three counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

Kirk has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on June 30.

Note: PCISCEU includes officers from Pictou County District RCMP, Westville Police Service, and Stellarton Police Service.
