Colchester County District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Earltown.
On June 18, at 10:55 p.m., RCMP officers, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a collision in the 1-100 block of Hwy. 326.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a man who was on the roadway was struck by a Ford Edge, driven by a 29-year-old woman from Debert.
The pedestrian, a 60-year-old Truro man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Edge and her 19-year-old passenger were not physically injured.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the collision. The investigation is ongoing with support from the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
Hwy. 326 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
Our thoughts are with the man’s loved ones at this difficult time.
