Annapolis District RCMP investigating fatal collision

Annapolis District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Middleton.

On July 4, at approximately 3:20p.m., Annapolis District RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a collision on School St in Middleton. Officers learned that a motorcycle and a Hyundai Sonata had collided. 

The driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle, a 47-year-old man from Middleton, was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The driver and passenger of the Hyundai, both from Middleton, did not report any physical injuries.

School St. was closed for several hours while an RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the crash. 

The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
