Cumberland County District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred in River Philip.
On July 4, at approximately 6:40p.m., Cumberland County District RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a collision on Hwy 321 near River Philip. Officers learned that a Honda Civic went off the roadway and collided into a culvert.
The driver, the sole occupant of the Civic, a 28-year-old man from Springhill, was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Highway 321 was closed for several hours while an RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the crash.
The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
