RCMP seeking information after serious assault in Eskasoni

Eskasoni RCMP Detachment is requesting information from the public following a serious assault in Eskasoni.

On July 4, at approximately 12:30 a.m., RCMP officers responded to a report of an injured man lying on the roadway near the intersection of Mickeys Ln. and Shore Rd. 

Officers learned that the man was walking home after attending a gathering when he became involved in an altercation with individuals known to him. The altercation escalated, resulting in a serious assault.

The 39-year-old victim was transported to hospital by EHS with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers believe there were witnesses in the area at the time of the incident and are working to identify all individuals involved in the attack.
