Lunenburg District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Lilydale.
On July 11, at approximately 6:40 a.m., Lunenburg District RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 324.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a Ford Bronco, travelling southeast, had left the roadway and struck a tree.
The youth driver and a youth passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene. A third occupant of the vehicle, a youth, was transported to hospital by EHS LifeFlight with life-threatening injuries.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene. Hwy. 324 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
The investigation remains ongoing with assistance from the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
