Kings District RCMP investigating fatal collision

Kings District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Auburn.

On August 29, at approximately 11 a.m., Kings District RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a collision on Hwy. 101. Officers learned that an eastbound Chevrolet Impala and a westbound Ford Escape had collided. 

The driver and lone occupant of the Escape, a 63-year-old woman from Prospect, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the Impala, a 34-year-old man from Cambridge, was also pronounced deceased.

Hwy. 101 was closed for several hours while an RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, including those with dashcam footage, is asked to contact Kings District RCMP at 902-679-5555.

Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the deceased at this difficult time.
