Digby RCMP Detachment and the Southwest Nova RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SWN SCEU) charged four people and seized over two kilograms of cocaine during a search warrant execution.

In November 2025, the Digby RCMP General Investigative Section (GIS) and SWN SCEU began a drug trafficking investigation. Multiple investigative steps were taken over the following months.

On September 7, Digby RCMP GIS and SWN SCEU executed a search warrant at a home on Jordantown Rd. During the search, officers seized over two kilograms of cocaine, multiple cell phones and other devices, and cash.

Officers safely arrested four people at the residence. Mark Wayne Melanson, 59, of Conway; Nathaniel John Miller, 50, of Acaciaville; David Leach, 53, of Saint-Constant, QC; and Annette Mclean, 53, of Montreal, QC, are each charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

All four people had first court appearances on September 8 at Digby Provincial Court. Mclean, Melanson, and Miller were released by the courts on conditions pending court appearances scheduled for October 20. Leach remains in custody pending future court appearances.

The search warrant execution was supported by Digby RCMP general duty, Yarmouth RCMP GIS, Police Dog Services, Criminal Intelligence Service Nova Scotia, and remotely piloted aircraft system (drone) operators.
