RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment has arrested a woman after recovering a stolen vehicle in Porters Lake.

On September 23, at approximately 10:45 p.m., RCMP responded to a report that a Ford F150 had been stolen from a driveway on Robinson Rd. in Lawrencetown.  Officers learned that the truck was equipped with a tracking device and was showing a location near Cheviot Hills St. in Porters Lake.

Officers attended and attempted to stop the truck; however, it failed to stop.  A tire deflation device was successfully deployed before the Ford continued onto Karen Cres. where it was located abandoned.

Officers searched the area and found a woman on Karen Cres. who was in possession of items stolen from the truck.

The 24-year-old woman from Middle Sackville was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime.  She was released and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.

The investigation is ongoing with support from RCMP Forensic Identification Services.
